It’s up to us to use our platform to be a good citizen.  Because not only is it a nice thing to do, it’s a business imperative… If this wasn’t good for business, we probably wouldn’t do it.

FAQs > The Application Form > What is the difference between the “Owner Occupier” and “Tenant” applications?

The two applications are very similar.  However, because a business that owns and occupies its building has greater control over its facility and services, it has the opportunity to implement more environmental measures.  The Owner Occupier application checklist, therefore, includes a greater range of actions than the Tenant application and Owner Occupiers must implement more actions than Tenants in order to be certified.  The Tenant application has one unique action that does not appear on the Owner Occupier application – to encourage property managers/owners to adopt green measures that are beyond the control of the tenant. In some instances, even “REQUIRED” actions might be n/a.
