Shulman Rogers is committed to environmental and energy stewardship. We have designed our information systems technology infrastructure to reduce our electricity usage consistent with the spirit and objectives of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Energy Star program.

Our energy conservation efforts include:

• The use of certified recycled office furniture, carpeting, kitchen flooring and shelving and Energy Star compliant appliances. 
• The adoption of best practices for office paper management and other conservation procedures.
• The implementation of reusable materials and recycled products.
• The recycling of used paper and paper products and toner cartridges.
• The “virtualization” of the Firm’s 19 network servers onto four physical boxes. This has resulted in an ongoing 75% annual reduction in server hardware and operating system costs. The effect is a substantial reduction of server room energy consumption ($12,576.08 per year) – the equivalent environmental impact of planting 380 trees or removing 29 cars from the highway each year.
• The selection of supplies and vendors who offer greener alternatives.
• Our Going Green Committee, comprised of attorneys and non-attorneys, works closely with our office administrators to implement sustainable measures and practices throughout the firm. We are encouraging our attorneys and staff to implement sustainability measures in their lifestyles and homes as we recognize that each of us can make a difference, and that by acting collectively we can make even greater progress.
